Magnificent Women Are Authentic

By

Margaret Futerer

The words “authentic” and “authenticity” are buzzwords that are thrown about in the media and in literature, but what does it really mean to be authentic?

Being authentic is the ability to be true to oneself. Living an authentic life requires the ability to be true to our own wants, needs and desires and not live our lives by the opinion of others. Being authentic is the ability to make self-honoring choices and stand firmly in who we are in our core.

In order to live an authentic life we have to first know who we are. It requires that we stop looking outside ourselves for validation and appreciation and instead go within ourselves and discover the true woman within.

When we connect to who we are at the core of our being the light of truth engulfs us. It comes to us as a warm feeling of coming home and a charge of energy that explodes into every cell of our being. It is a feeling of connectedness to ourselves that cannot be denied. Once we have truly connected with who we are life as we know it is forever transformed. A new confidence and a new awareness take us places we may have never imagined possible.

When we stay connected to our true self at the center of our being we live our lives in pure authenticity. We love who we are and no longer feel the need or desire to live by the expectations of anyone outside ourselves. We are able to listen to ourselves and know what is best for us; we know what brings us the greatest joy and fulfillment.

Being true to ourselves gives us the insight and compassion to see others for who they are, not who we expect them to be. It frees us up from the judgment of ourselves and others and it gives others the freedom to be themselves as well.

When we are true to the magnificent woman within us, our authenticity and integrity spills out into our world and allows us to live our lives in unconditional love and acceptance.

That which is not for my highest good now fades from me and I no longer desire it. My God-given desires are richly fulfilled now in God's own wonderful way."

"I am an irresistible magnet, with the power to attract unto myself everything that I divinely desire, according to the thoughts, feelings and mental pictures I constantly entertain and radiate. I am the center of my Universe! I have the power to create whatever I wish. I attract whatever I radiate. I attract whatever I mentally choose and accept, I begin choosing and mentally accepting the highest and best in life. I now choose and accept health, success and happiness. I now choose lavish abundance for myself and for all humankind. This is a rich, friendly Universe and I dare to accept its riches, its hospitality, and to enjoy them now."

"I am the rich child of a loving father. I now accept and claim his rich good for me in every phase of my life. My own God-given success in the form of rich ideas and rich results now appears."

"I am now experiencing perfect health, abundant prosperity and complete and utter happiness. This is true because the world is full of charming people who now lovingly help me in every way. I am now coming into an innumerable company of angels. I am now living a delightful, interesting and satisfying life of the most widely useful kind. Because of my own increased health, wealth and happiness, I am now able to help others live a delightful, interesting and satisfying life of the most widely useful kind, my good - our good - is universal."

"I am now activated by Divine Love and guided by divine power into my right work, which I perform in a perfect way for perfect pay. The divine plan of my life now takes shape in definite concrete experiences, leading to perfect health, happiness, success and prosperity."

"Divine intelligence is in charge of my life. I am now open, receptive, and obedient to its rich instruction and guidance."

"Divine intelligence directs the right buyer to this property. Everyone concerned is blessed by a just and orderly exchange of values."

"Divine intelligence knows our need, knows where the right house is and knows how to manifest it to us at the right time."

"There is gold dust in the air for me. Through definite, deliberate prosperous thinking. I now begin assimilating that gold dust. And even now I am beginning to experience gold dust results."

"Divine restoration is taking place. The good which the locusts of lack have eaten is being divinely restored. The divine law of balance and equilibrium is doing its perfect work."

Why Gratitude is the Key

When it comes to worldly affairs, the saying, "Seeing is believing" reigns supreme.

When you *see* someone accomplish something, you start to *believe* in that person's ability. If a product delivers what it promises, you then believe that it works. When you see a "formula" yield positive results, you begin to believe in it.

Evidence is essential in order for people to believe. This has led to the saying, "I'll believe it when I see it." The proof is in the pudding.

But in spiritual affairs, the opposite is true. "Believing is seeing." If you believe first, you will see that thing that you believe in manifest itself in front of your very eyes. That's a testament to the awesome power of belief. This has led to another saying: "I'll see it when I believe it."

However, for most people, believing *is* the problem.

That's why most people who lack conviction when they recite affirmations, for instance, are missing the secret ingredient that's necessary to materialize their dreams.

If you've ever encountered some internal resistance when you first read or speak a positive affirmation, that's an indication that you do not really believe what you're saying. For example, how can you really believe the affirmation, "I am perfectly healthy in body, mind and spirit" when outer appearances point to the contrary (e.g., you're sick or in pain)?

An important part of believing is to feel "as if it has already happened." I have found that one of the best ways to evoke that feeling is to express *gratitude* after you recite an affirmation.

Just saying the words, "Thank you" after you state your affirmation reinforces the belief that the universe (or God, or your Creator, or whatever name you call the Supreme Being) has already set about the fulfillment of your desire.

You may not see your affirmed desire fully manifested yet at the present time, but expressing thanks makes you believe that what you've asked for is already done. Thereafter, you have a sense of expectancy that what you desire will eventually come to fruition.

If there was ever a "formula" for manifesting desires, this is it. Ancient spiritual manuscripts, including the Bible, emphasize that a single-minded belief is essential in receiving what you ask for.

They also warn against double-mindedness.

Know with absolute and unwavering certainty that what you are affirming is already yours. "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

So believe that it's already done by simply saying "Thank you" or assuming an attitude of gratitude after affirming what you want. I once heard a wonderful quotation from an anonymous author that says it profoundly: "We can start with who we are and what we have today, apply gratitude, then let it work it's magic.

Say thank you, until you mean it. If you say it long enough, you will believe it. Today will shine the transforming light of gratitude on all the circumstances of my life."

Jeff Staniforth

The Greatest of These is Love

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

(NIV) 1 Corinthians 13:1-8 and 13

Do You have Limiting Beliefs?

Do you live with limiting beliefs? A limiting belief is a belief that keeps you from obtaining or being or having something that you desire. Some examples of limiting beliefs are "I am too old to get a good job"; "Only people with college degrees are getting hired today"; "There isn't enough time"; "I don't have enough money"; "My doctor said I would never feel any better"; "My disease is incurable." Limiting beliefs seem very real when we believe in them.

There was a man who had very little money, but for years he had dreamed of going on a cruise. Life was a financial struggle for him, and he often had trouble making ends meet. He certainly didn't have the cash flow for something as extravagant as a cruise. With each year that passed, he continued to focus on going on a cruise. He kept his dream alive inside of him. He stayed open and optimistic. He had a belief. He had faith. Yet, he still had no cruise. What was the problem? The problem was that he believed that he had to have money, and a lot of it, before he could take a cruise.

A friend of the man suggested that he let go of thinking that he had to have money to go on a cruise. This meant letting go of the belief that he had to "pay" for the cruise and be open to other opportunities of supply coming to him. As it turns out, the man was a very good dancer and had taught some dance classes at his local cultural center. When the man let go of the thought that he had to "pay" for the cruise, he began to get creative ideas. He contacted several cruise lines and found that they wanted and needed people who could teach dance to their guests. Not only did he get to take the cruise he had always wanted, he got paid to do it!

Optimistic focus and holding to our dreams are crucial in the co-creation process. And being open to new ideas of how to achieve that focus and accomplish those dreams is absolutely necessary. The Mind of God is much more powerful than our minds. When we connect with that Spirit Within, we tap into that great creative Mind of God. God in our lives can do more through us than we can imagine.

Whatever you are desiring in your life, I encourage you to let go of your attachment to how it is to come about. Let your mind be a blank canvas using the prayer, "This is my desire (whatever you are desiring), or something better. I let go and release the means and the outcome to Spirit's highest creative demonstration. Thank you, God."

Robin

Now here is where we run into problems we ask and then we try to fix it, we try to make it happen. The Spirit is one of infinite wisdom and abundant supply in all things.
